My work supports and guides you to connect with body-based practices of movement and awareness to overcome stress, anxiety and overwhelm. "Soma" is a Greek word for body, and somatic therapy integrates body-based approaches for dysregulation and overwhelm. Our bodies are made to handle stress and tension. We can connect and relate with deeper awareness of how our bodies and nervous system are navigating our experiences, head-on, and with gentle awareness and exploration.
We aren't always supposed to face challenges, fears, and overwhelm in states of dysregulation or exhaustion. We can begin to soften, open up, and have more awareness and attunement with ease and connection — supporting our ability to navigate challenges, reduce anxiety, and feel more peace.
My training and education in holistic health, environmental education, herbalism, integrative somatic trauma therapy, somatic attachment therapy, nervous system regulation, hatha and restorative yoga are the foundations I use to expertly meet you where you are at. Rooted in a process of nervous system regulation and trauma work, my focus is on developing emotional resilience comb nervous system practices that offer internal connections and at times, nature experiences in my work together.
A regulated nervous system means you'll have more energy, be grounded in your capacity to make decisions, uplevel your confidence, and improve all areas of your life. With mind and body connection, you'll begin to engage deeper with the path of your heart; a welcome experience into embracing everything about who you are.

Group programs and sessions offer the space for you to be heard, pause and have moments to reflect. We work together with an embodied awareness and overcome imbalances, dysregulation and feelings of overwhelm in your body and nervous system. We address any emotional, physical or energetic symptoms that arise and influence your inner critic, affect your relationships, and reveal how they show up for you.
This guides a process to reconnect with your natural state of balance and wholeness through deeper presence. Your nervous system is your guide. Together we cultivate an awareness of your story, navigate the narratives that have come along with it, and foster a compassionate process of reclamation through gentle inquiry.
Witnessing areas that have held you in survival mode, created anxiety or elevated stress will reveal steps to take to overcome them. Being in collaboration together will offer an opportunity relate to your experiences with your own insight, and inspire an empowered place of knowing.

The sessions are one hour. At times, the sessions may extend past one hour provided it is agreed upon by both parties.
You book the sessions as you feel required. Some clients are comfortable with one session. Having three or more sessions, or being in a 3-month program allows for a deeper experience and foundation to emerge.
Each somatic session is a process that depends on each person independently, and takes different amount of times for for processes. This can occur quickly in a session, gradually or require more time to be engaged in an integrative process. During and after the sessions you will notice shifts in your ways of thinking, feelings in your body, and how you're showing up for yourself and others to know how the sessions are going.
The sessions are based on empowering you with the tools and techniques to gain a more authentic, fulfilling and joyful life, eventually requiring less sessions, and enable you to master your emotions more easily while tuning into your body's awareness more naturally. Your nervous system is your guide.
There aren't any expectations in the sessions.
The sessions are created for you to explore emotions that you are comfortable with and reveal as much as you like as the session unfolds.
There aren't any expectations about what needs to be shared as the unfolding of the session in each moment will guide your inner trust system. The supportive and non-judemental space of each session will provide you to adjust to your own comfort level.
Being comfortable in each session is of primary importance, and what you choose to share will depend on your willingness and ability to tune in to what your body, mind and heart feels and have it received in a safe and supportive space.
As a result of internal changes in your mindset, your attitudes and behaviors may change and as a result, reflect in your relationships toward yourself and others.
While each session offers a unique opportunity for exploration, be prepared for some changes in your life that vary in quality and intensity.
Follow-up is available at any time. This can be arranged by booking another session or by connecting through email to establish your needs and expectations. Support is always available throughout the program.
During sessions, a client may re-live a memory, experiences and feelings that cause emotional responses and bring awareness of possible pain points. Each process can be managed through patience and practicing self-care. The sessions offer a container where dysregulation may occur, but is monitored and shifted into a more regulated state.
You may feel these emotions arise during sessions and bringing awareness to them while being present to them, and approaching them compassionately.
It is recommended to have a free schedule for the remainder of the day after a session for any emotional processing, and to engage in self care practices that means taking it a little bit extra easy with yourself.
Emotions that arise from the sessions vary for each person, in quantity and intensity. The sessions encourage a space of compassion and supportive resources for you to support comfort and care.
Self-care practices can include drinking plenty of water, and having rest after a session. Each person may have their own comfort routine and this is encouraged throughout the sessions and after. Self-care can also include working less, taking time for yourself, going for long walks in nature, limiting tv and cell phone use, reading good books, listening to gentle music and pampering yourself.
